Cars in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities mentioned they were contacted by a man who noticed a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored substance

Roughly fifty vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a release.

Officers state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then located numerous other marked cars and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police report initial examinations indicate the fluid was most likely human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; authorities are not yet cognizant of any injuries in connection with the event," they stated.

Local authorities stated they were trying "to solve the incident" and have requested to the residents for details.

A senior representative commented the incident left him stunned and had to be addressed quickly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he stated on social media, mentioning the killing of nine victims by a assailant focusing on individuals of migrant background in 2020.
