I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
